There had been hopes Wales will travel to Argentina to mark the 150th anniversary of Welsh settlers in Patagonia.
But with Argentina on Copa America duty this summer and a reduced international schedule already close to being full that is looking increasingly unlikely, so Wales are set to face the south Americans after their Euro 2016 Group B qualifier against Israel on Saturday, March 28.
Members of Chris Coleman’s squad are already aware of the plans and are thrilled about facing the likes of Messi, Angel Di Maria and Sergio Aguero.
