New Cuba”s Travel Guide Presented in Argentina

29 de septiembre de 2015, 15:01Buenos Aires, Sep 29 (Prensa Latina) The travel guide ''Cuba es otra historia'' is being sold in the stands at the 20th International Tourism Fair FIT 2015 and is circulating today among Argentines interested in travelling to the island.

In a small magazine format, the travel guide was presented at the fair by the director of the 'Cuba es otra historia' project, Carlos Javier Rodríguez, and the Cuban ambassador, Orestes Perez, in the stand of the Cuban Ministry of Tourism (Mintur).

Also were present Dalila Alba, Communications Director at the Ministry of Tourism, and Niurka Martinez, head of the Cuban Tourist Office for the South American Cone, located in Buenos Aires.

'The new travel guide, which will be updated every three months, is an informative tool for tourists and travelers who choose Cuba as a holiday or work destination', Rodriguez said.

According to Dalila Alba, the guide contributes promoting tourism and will allow visitors to know in an accurate way the Cuban reality.

This publication completes the 'Cuba es otra historia' initiative in Argentina, which also includes a weekly radio program and a digital portal with news on the political, economic, cultural, scientific and tourist events in Cuba, explained Rodriguez.

This first issue is devoted to the 7 Cuban cities, which have or are about to reached 500 years, said Carlos Javier Rodríguez, who hopes that the publication also circulates in other Spanish-speaking countries of the Southern Cone.

The issue contains maps with distance tables, cultural proposals and recommendations for family trips, events and nights out. It also includes an article about young trova interpreters and the successful 25 years of the Melia hotels in Cuba.

The FIT represents an ideal business meeting space in Latin America, where different countries present their tourism products.
