City international players on duty

As reported by Manchester City's official website, 13 City players were selected to represent their national teams during the March FIFA international date. These players are Joe Hart (England), James Milner (England), Bacary Sagna (France), Fernandinho (Brazil), David Silva (Spain), Vincent Kompany (Belgium), Stevan Jovetic (Montenegro), Aleksandar Kolarov (Serbia), Yaya Touré (Ivory Coast), Wilfried Bony (Ivory Coast), Pablo Zabaleta (Argentina), Sergio Agüero (Argentina) and Edin Džeko (Bosnia and Herzegovina).

Here we take a look at the players who have played for their national teams as of Sunday:

Bacary Sagna: The French right-back played the full 90 minutes for France against Brazil at the Stade de France in Paris on Thursday night. The french started off brilliantly in 21 minutes, when Real Madrid center back, Raphael Varane, scored off a corner. Brazil answered back with three goals from Neymar, Oscar and Luiz Gustavo to win 3-1 and erase some of the ghosts from 1998, when France defeated Brazil 3-0 in the World Cup final at the same venue. France's next match is against Denmark on Sunday night at the Stade de France.

Fernandinho: The Brazilian midfielder only saw about 3 minutes of action as he subbed on to replace Luiz Gustavo. His team enjoyed a 3-1 victory over Les Bleus at the Stade de France on Thursday night. He did play the full 90 minutes in Brazil's 1-0 victory against Chile at the Emirates in London on Sunday. The lone goal was scored by Hoffenheim attacker, Roberto Firmino, in the 72nd minute.

Joe Hart and James Milner: The English duo enjoyed a 4-0 win over Lithuania in Group E of European qualification for Euro 2016. Joe Hart played all 90 minutes and kept a clean sheet, whilst James Milner stayed on the bench for the whole match. The next match for England is against Italy in Turin that will be an international friendly.

David Silva: The Spanish midfielder played all 90 minutes in Spain's victory over Ukraine on Friday at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan in Sevilla for Group C of European qualification for Euro 2016. The lone goal came from Juventus striker, Alvaro Morata in the 28th minute after a pass from Atletico Madrid midfielder, Koke. Spain's next match will be against the Netherlands on Tuesday in Amsterdam in an international friendly.

Vincent Kompany: City and Belgium's captain enjoyed an easy 5-0 hammering over lowly Cyprus in Brussels for Group B of European qualification for Euro 2016. A brace from Manchester United midfielder, Marouane Fellaini, and goals from Eden Hazard, Christian Benteke and Marseille striker, Michy Batshuayi, did the damage for the Belgian side, which faced little opposition from the Cypriots. Belgium's next match will be in Haifa when it takes on Israel on Tuesday.

Stevan Jovetic: City's Montenegrin striker played 67 minutes in Montenegro's hotly contested match against Russia in Group G. The match was controversially played on after Russia goalkeeper, Igor Akinfeev, was left unconscious after being hit in the head with a flare that was hurled from the crowd in the 28th minute. The match was finally abandoned after 67 minutes when another object was hurled to the pitch by the Montenegrin crowd following a Russian throw-in. The match is currently under investigation. Montenegro's next match will be in June against Sweden for European qualification for Group G.

Aleksandar Kolarov: The only City player to have not played, his Serbian national team will clash head against Portugal with Cristiano Ronaldo and Co on Sunday night. This match will be played in Lisbon, at the Estadio da Luz.

Yaya Toure and Wilfried Bony: The City and Ivorian pair enjoyed a 2-0 friendly victory over Angola in Abidjan. The match has been noted for the very bad and soaked pitch it was played on. The scorers were Turkey-based Ousmane Viera Diarrassouba and Hertha Berlin striker, Salomon Kalou. The next match will be on Sunday against Equatorial Guinea.

Pablo Zabaleta and Sergio Agüero: The Argentinian pair enjoyed a 2-0 victory over Central America's El Salvador in Washington D.C. Pablo Zabaleta played the full 90 minutes while Sergio Agüero saw on from the bench as he was unable to get playing time. The next match for Argentina will be against Ecuador in New York on Wednesday morning.

Edin Džeko: Undoubtedly the man of the match for Bosnia, he scored a hat-trick against lowly Andorra to give his nation a 3-0 win in Group B in Andorra La Valle. He netted in the 13th, 49th, and 62nd minute to hand Bosnia its first win in European qualifying. Bosnia's next match will be a friendly against Austria on Tuesday in Vienna.
