Sofia. President of the Republic of Bulgaria Rosen Plevneliev will be on an official visit to Brazil and Argentina on February 1-5, the press centre of the President’s Office announced.
During the meetings with the political leaders and representatives of the business in the two countries the Bulgarian Head of State will discuss the strengthening of the trade-economic and investment cooperation, the EU-Latin America relations and issues of the international agenda.
President Plevneliev will first visit Brazil on February 1-3.
In Brasilia Mr Plevneliev will meet with his Brazilian counterpart Dilma Rousseff.
An agreement between Bulgaria and Brazil in the field of social security and a memorandum of understanding between the Bulgarian Ministry of Education and Science and the Brazilian National Council for Scientific and Technological Development will be signed at the presence of the two presidents.
Two business forums will be organised during President Plevneliev’s visit.
In Brasilia and Sao Paulo the Bulgarian Head of State will meet with representatives of the Bulgarian community.
After the visit to Brazil President Rosen Plevneliev will head at Argentine on February 3-5.
On February 4 Mr Plevneliev will meet with his Argentinean counterpart Mauricio Macri.
A memorandum of understanding between the Bulgarian and Argentinean ministries of defence will be inked at the presence of the two presidents.
In Buenos Aires the Bulgarian Head of state will open a joint Bulgarian-Argentinean business form at the Chamber of Commerce.
Mr Plevneliev is also scheduled to meet with President of the Chamber of Deputies Emilio Monzo and members of the local power.
In Buenos Aires Rosen Plevneliev will meet with the local Bulgarian community.
During the visit to Latin America Bulgarian President Rosen Plevneliev will be accompanied by a 20-member business delegation. President’s official delegation will also include Minister of Economy Bozhidar Lukarski, deputy ministers and members of the parliament.
