Aguero over Man City injury worries

Manchester City forward Sergio Aguero hopes his recent injury problems that have plagued his otherwise super season are over as he looks to continue the club’s push for more silverware, reports Sky Sports.

The Argentina star returned from a hamstring injury to play almost an hour of the club’s 3 - 1 Wembley Capital One Cup final triumph - his first appearance since the end of January.

And the player claims he feels no effects from his first run out in over a month and is now looking forward to helping City push for an unprecedented quadruple trophy haul, with the club still in the FA Cup, Champions League and Premier League title race.

Aguero said: “I felt fine. It was my first game since the injury. I am happy to be back. Obviously there's always that worry when you come back that there's no reaction but it all went fine.

"In England you play a lot and we have to get used to it. Yes, there are a lot of games but we have to adapt to English football and get on with it."

Aguero also believes that new manager Manuel Pellegrini is the driving force behind their chase for at least a clean sweep of domestic titles as they attempt to add to the Capital One Cup success.

"Every manager is different, and with Manuel what he does is he talks a lot to all of us and treats every player the same," added Aguero.

The player believes trophies are within the club’s reach, despite trailing Chelsea by six points in the league - although they boast two games in hand on their rivals.
