Bet on the FIFA Under 20 World Cup with TAB
With the careers of current stars Paul Pogba and Harry Kane launched in the last FIFA Under 20 World Cup, we can expect to see some of the stars of the future ply their trade in the New Zealand-hosted tournament.
We examine the six groups with a team, match and player to watch.
Group A - Myanmar, New Zealand, USA, Ukraine
Team to watch: USA - With Arsenal prodigy Gedion Zelalem and Fulham youngster Emerson Hyndman, the USA possess two of the best playmakers in the tournament. The team has been earmarked as one of the best youth teams in USA history. Expect striker Rubio Robin to feature among the goals.
Match to watch: USA v Ukraine - Both teams are favourites to progress with their match on June 5 looming as the decider of the group winner.
Player to watch: Emerson Hyndman (USA) - Often less regarded because of the Arsenal connection with Zelalem, Hyndman has established himself as the team's key playmaker. His performance will be key if the USA are to challenge for the Cup.
Group B - Argentina, Austria, Ghana, Panama
Team to watch: Austria - The Europeans only conceded three goals in qualifying, proving to have the sturdiest defence of any team in the tournament. A repeat performance could see the Austrians go deep into the knockout stages.
Match to watch: Austria v Argentina - Should be a cracker of a match with Argentina star Angel Correa and Austrian midfielder Konrad Laimer leading the way for their respective teams. Could decide the group winner.
Player to watch: Angel Correa (Argentina) - A heart tumour sidelined the dynamic striker since he moved to Atletico Madrid from San Lorenzo. The 20-year-old scored 12 goals in 65 games for San Lorenzo to earn his move to Spain.
Group C - Colombia, Portugal, Senegal, Qatar
Team to watch: Portugal - With Porto forward Andre Silva and Manchester City prodigy Marcos Lopes, Portugal's attack should one to watch during the tournament. One of the favorites.
Match to watch: Portugal v Qatar - The 2022 World Cup hosts were Asia's best youth side in qualifying and it's a timely development considering the struggles of their senior national team. Can Portugal deal with the group's dark horse?
Player to watch: Marcos Lopes (Portugal) - Lopes has spent the season on loan at Lille with an impressive three goals in appearances for the Ligue 1 side. He is Manchester City's youngest goal scorer after scoring in an FA Cup game in 2014.

Group D - Mali, Mexico, Serbia, Uruguay
Team to watch: Mexico - A traditional producer of strong youth teams, Mexico look set to be one of the favorites again after conceding only three goals in qualifying.
Match to watch: Uruguay v Mexico - The two powerhouses of group D - expect a showdown that sees the winner top the group.
Player to watch: Diego Poyet (Uruguay) - Originally represented England at youth level, Gus Poyet's son Diego played three times for English Premier League side West Ham during last campaign. If he is half as good as his father....
Group E - Brazil, Hungary, Nigeria, South Korea
Team to watch: Nigeria - The African champions have produced an exciting generation of youngsters including Granada's Isaac Success and Manchester City's Kelechi Iheanacho. Has made the knockout stages in eight of their 10 Under-20 World Cups.
Match to watch: Nigeria v Brazil - The two favourites for Group D both are both known for their flair-based attacking football. Expect some Samba magic from the Brazilians.
Player to watch: Andres Pereira (Brazil) - A player with Manchester United first-team experience, expect Pereira to show why he is on the books of one of the best clubs in the world. Won Manchester United's Under 21 Player of the Year award.
Group F - Fiji, Germany, Honduras, Uzbekistan
Team to watch: Germany - With several stars featuring in the Bundesliga such as Hany Mukhtar, Julian Brandt and Marc Stendera, can the German side emulate their senior counterparts?
Match to watch: Germany v Fiji - The Pacific Island nation did well to qualify for the tournament but it could be a bloodbath against the efficient and effective German outfit.
Player to watch: Julian Brandt (Germany) - Despite only being 19 years old, Brandt is a regular for Bundesliga giants Bayer Leverkusen - scoring six goals in 34 appearances.
