The Black Sticks women's team will be looking for improved accuracy in key areas as they attempt to level their four-match series against Argentina in Blenheim today.
A tenacious comeback late in the game fell just short when New Zealand lost the opening game 2-1 against Argentina, who are ranked No. 3 in the world.

After this afternoon's game, the two rivals head to Nelson where they play on Tuesday, ahead of the final clash in Christchurch on Friday.

'We were too patchy and not cohesive enough," said Black Sticks head coach Mark Hager of the series opener. "The last five minutes was pretty much the best part of our game with three or four shots - we finished well, but we have got to be better ."
A vocal crowd kept the Black Sticks buoyed but the Kiwis struggled to find the connections in the circle to get on the scoreboard throughout most of the second half.
