Twins born from Eggs Frozen 12 years ago

In an astonishing case, an Argentinean woman has given birth to twins from eggs frozen for in-vitro fertilisation 12 years ago, indicating strong chances of cancer patients/survivors becoming parents.

Monica Zapotoczny, a 45-year old woman from Buenos Aires, capital city of Argentina had frozen eggs at the age of 33. But, even after several attempts to conceive with the help of IVF Monica and her Guillermo Husak lost hope of having a child of their own. Last year, the couple had decided to give a last try. Fortunately, Monica became pregnant and she delivered non-identical twins Mercedes and Guadalupe in January by caesarean section.

The record breaking set of twins— Mercedes and Guadalupe— have given fresh hope for cancer survivors, who refrain from getting pregnant and career-oriented women who delay having kids.

Zapotoczny said that it was a miracle and people who wish to conceive through IVF can take hopes from her experience.
