Roberto Soldado underlines the importance of Erik Lamela’s goal for Tottenham Hotspur against Burnley in the Premier League.

 

Tottenham Hotspur striker Roberto Soldado has been singing the praises of teammate Erik Lamela.

Argentina international winger Lamela scored his first Premier League goal in the 2-1 victory over Burnley on Saturday.

Harry Kane put the North London outfit in the lead in the 21st minute and Ashley Barnes equalised before the half-hour mark, but the 22-year-old’s wondergoal just minutes later proved enough for Tottenham to pick up the three points.

Lamela been inconsistent so far this season and has been out of the starting line-up in some matches, but against promoted Burnley he showed his class.

Spain international Soldado, who started the game on the bench and came on as a substitute in the 84th minute, has hailed the former AS Roma star.

The win has lifted Tottenham Hotspur up to sixth in the Premier League table with 27 points from 17 matches.
