Angel di Maria reportedly has no plans to leave Manchester United in the summer transfer window.
Manchester United winger Angel di Maria wants to remain at the club beyond the summer, according to The Sun.
The British tabloid claims that the Argentina international has told his “close friends” that he is keen on staying at the Premier League outfit.
“Angel actually loves it in Manchester. He loves the club and is desperate to be a success,” The Sun quotes a friend of Di Maria as saying. “Things have not gone that well so far but he is convinced things will turn round.”
Good news for Manchester United fans
Di Maria joined United from Spanish giants Real Madrid in the summer of 2014 amid much hype and fanfare, but things have not gone according to plan so far this season.
The 27-year-old started the 2014-15 campaign brilliantly, but he soon tailed off as injuries also started to hamper his progress.
Di Maria has scored three goals and created 45 chances in 20 Premier League appearances, while having a pass accuracy of 78% and a shot accuracy of 43%.
However, the former Benfica star is a world-class attacking player, and the United fans need to maintain faith in him.

The fact that Di Maria wants to stay at Old Trafford despite his poor form and criticisms suggests that he is keen on proving himself in the Premier League.
This can only be good news for United fans, who will want the team to finish in the top four of the Premier League this season and then challenge for the title in the 2015-16 campaign.
