Rally Argentina: Sordo retires again

Hyundai's Dani Sordo has been forced to retire again from Rally Argentina with suspected turbo problems sidelining him on the road section to SS7.

Sordo had a catalogue of mechanical issues on Friday, but was able to restart this morning under Rally 2. However his Hyundai i20 WRC again let him down, with the Spaniard losing over 17 minutes in SS6, the first test of the day, before he again had to stop for good.

“I'm experiencing the same problem I had yesterday,” he told reporters at the end of SS6.

“I'm not very confident [we will be able to continue] but I hope we'll fix it again.”

Hyundai has yet to confirm if he will be back for Sunday's final leg.
