Syracuse (CNN/WSYR-TV) - Pope Francis revealed to Catholics at a church outside of Rome earlier this week he was once a bouncer at a nightclub in his native Argentina, according to reports.
CNN reports the pope also said he swept floors and ran tests in a chemical laboratory. Pope Francis also said he woke at 5:30 a.m. to do priests’ laundry when he was a leader of the Jesuit community in Argentina, according to author Christopher Lowney.
According to L'Osservatore Romano - the Vatican newspaper - Pope Francis didn’t speak of any details about his job as a bouncer.
