Poland bounced back and beat Argentina 24-23 on Sunday, in Group D’s second round of fixtures.
Germany went top of the group after a narrow victory over Russia 27-26, despite falling behind in the first leg (13-9) before storming back to capture the victory.
Poland had fell to Germany in their group’s first qualifying round 29-26. Argentina’s hard fought battle against Denmark finished with a 24-24 tie, and Russia beat Saudi Arabia 27-17.
