Obama Expected to Pick Fundraiser as Envoy to Argentina

President Barack Obama is expected to nominate as ambassador to Argentina an elite fundraiser who is part of his Los Angeles-based network of donors, according to a person familiar with the selection process.

Noah Mamet, who raised more than $500,000 for Mr. Obama in the 2012 presidential race, is the front-runner for the ambassadorial post, this person said.
