According to British consultancy firm Digital TV Research, Netflix ended September with 4.85 mln subscribers in Latin America, up from 2.94 million at end December 2013. In Brazil, Netflix had an estimated 2.7 million subscribers at the end of September, followed by Mexico (1.20 million), Colombia (535,000), Argentina (480,000) and Chile (230,000). Other Latin American markets accounted for the remainder. Netflix is expected to reach 17 million international subscribers by the end of 2014, according to the study.
