Cape Town - Following the news that the Springboks will face the All Blacks in Durban during next year’s Rugby Championship, the venue for the clash in New Zealand has been confirmed as AMI Stadium in Christchurch.
The South African Rugby Union (SARU) last week confirmed the home venues for next season’s Springbok matches, with the SA-NZ Test moved away from Ellis Park for the first time since 2011.
South Africa will start their Rugby Championship campaign at home against Argentina at Mbombela Stadium in Nelspruit on August 20, before a return clash in Argentina (venue TBA) the following week (August 27).
The Boks then tackle Australia at Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane on September 10, before the Test against the All Blacks in Christchurch the following weekend (September 17).
South Africa face Australia at Loftus Versfeld in Pretoria on October 1, before concluding their campaign against the Kiwis at Kings Park in Durban on October 8.
It remains to be seen whether All Black great Richie McCaw will face the Boks at his home ground in Christchurch.
The double-Rugby World Cup winning captain currently boasts 148 Tests, and despite hinting at retirement after this year's World Cup in England and Wales, has yet to confirm whether he is in fact hanging up his boots.
Should McCaw continue his international career, he's likely to reach the 150-Test milestone in the All Blacks' three-Test home series against Wales in June.
