Where there is English sporting misery - there is invariably Diego Maradona.
Stuart Lancaster's men crashed out of the Rugby World Cup at the hands of Australia last night and, before you know it, Maradona is apparently a rugby union fan.
The football legend was in attendance at Leicester's King Power Stadium today, to see his native country take on Tonga in their third group stage fixture.
Onlookers said Maradona was leading chants, in what was a pivotal game for both sides, in which his beloved Argentina ran out 45-16 winners.
He looked considerably more jovial than he appeared earlier this week, when he accused FIFA presidential candidate Michel Platini of being a 'liar'.
"I said before that a man who stands alongside a corrupt person like Blatter cannot plead ignorance," he said in an interview published in the sports newspaper Olé .
"Let us not forget that Platini said that he was going to separate himself from FIFA as part of a strategy and that he was going to give his votes to the Prince.
"He is a liar and now Swiss justice is going to investigate him."
Maradona also laid into FIFA, claiming there are people working there "who should be in prison".
"I still support Jordanian Prince Ali bin Hussein's project to bring transparency to FIFA.

"Just wait and see the suit I have for when we win. However, we have to remain alert to everyone who didn't speak up against those people at the time."
