Manchester United midfielder Angel Di Maria is set to start on the left wing for Argentina against Portugal at Old Trafford this evening, according to the Portuguese source O Jogo.
The 26-year-old joined United for a British record fee of £59.7m from Real Madrid during the summer transfer window and immediately hit the ground running.
At the time he was playing in a central position of a midfield diamond as Louis van Gaal altered his system to accommodate his new signings.
Angel Di Maria reveals he’s always dreamed of playing for Man United
The Argentine was stunning in that position, scoring three goals and assisting four more but since then Van Gaal has positioned him out wide and Di Maria has struggled.
Maybe playing alongside Lionel Messi and Gonzalo Higuain, as predicted, the Argentine will see an improvement in his performance and dazzle the Old Trafford crowd once more.
