Manchester City striker Carlos Tevez is a summer target for Monaco, according to reports from Italy.

The Argentina international was linked with the French side in March when it was claimed there could be interest in the City player should Monaco achieve promotion from Ligue 2. That was accomplished at the weekend and speculation has now intensified over the club’s future signings.

Monaco are also being linked with a £52million move for Atletico Madrid striker Radamel Falcao although reports claim the Colombia international will then be sold to Real Madrid in the summer of 2014. The club, which is now owned by Russian billionaire Dmitry Rybolovlev, spent over £30million since dropping into France’s second tier and Calciomercato in Italy claims they will offer Tevez 10million euro a year to move to France.

However, Monaco is also being touted as a possible destination for former City boss Roberto Mancini, who was sacked last night by the Premier League side. How that would play out with Tevez with regards to a move to Monaco remains to be seen. The two clashed when Tevez went AWOL during the 2011-12 season although the pair later patched up their relationship.

Monaco are also being linked with Porto’s Joao Moutinho, PSG’s Jeremy Menez and Mamadou Sakho and Nicolas Isimat-Mirin of Valenciennes.
