Don’t cry for her, Argentina. Katy Perry and her cold will soon be gone.
Katy Perry is roaring, dancing, shopping and sniffling her way through South America on the tail end of her 151-show “Prismatic World Tour,” which wraps up in Costa Rica on Oct. 18.
Throughout the week, the 30-year-old pop star has been holed up in the Park Hyatt hotel in Buenos Aires, where we’re told her camp reserved 24 rooms so that Perry could enjoy a little privacy.
A source at the hotel tells us that the “Hot N Cold” singer left the high-end inn after her Saturday night concert, only to unexpectedly return later that night because she wasn’t feeling well following the show.
Before taking the stage on Saturday, Perry tweeted to her fans: “Bout to hop on this stage all snotty, wheezing sneezin ... Gonna need you tonight.” Nevertheless, the show went on.
When she came back to the Park Hyatt that night, Perry insisted on staying in the same room where she’d earlier been, which caused staffers to shuffle other guests around at the last minute.
That wasn’t the end of the sniffling diva’s demands. We’re told that hotel employees had to scramble to find a Neti Pot for the stuffed-up singer, which is no easy feat in Argentina. She also ordered a cauliflower, hummus and noodle soup to help her get back on her feet.
A week earlier while performing at the Rock in Rio concert in Brazil, Perry invited a fan on stage who spread her germs all over the “I Kissed a Girl” singer.
“She’s kissing my neck!” Perry shouted out as the overzealous fan clung to her.
Yet Perry appeared to be in good health when she arrived in Argentina a few days later and posted photos of herself smoking a cigar and tango dancing. She was also healthy enough to do some shopping during her stay in Buenos Aries. On Monday, Perry and her entourage made their way to a mall called the Patio Bullrich where, not surprisingly, she ran into fans. One of her bodyguards was even heard mocking a “grown woman” for trying to speak to the Teen Dream singer as she perused the clothing racks. Among the items Perry checked out was a $2,000 dress in a store called Solo Ivanka.
Perry was expected to stay in Buenos Aires until Tuesday when she heads to Chile. Hopefully she’s taking her vitamin C.
Perry’s reps didn’t get back to us with a comment.
