Germany defeated Argentina to win the 2014 World Cup in Brazil and now they’re celebrating back home with a huge parade. From pictures of the crows it looks like thousands, maybe even a hundred thousand or more turned out for the event.
The German national team look like they’re having a blast with it as well. How could you not, celebrating your World Cup championship in your home nation with fans and friends and still in that honeymoon phase where fans are pouring adoration on.
And the way they revealed to the crowd has set a new standard for championship parades around the world. It is like a reverse bowling pin celebration. A bunch of players walked forward hiding the short captain Philipp Lahm with the trophy in the middle. Then they all fell to the side leaving him standing there with the trophy held high.
Watch brilliant German choreography of how to 'reveal the World Cup to your fans. Hats of to #Lahm and co. https://t.co/D7R1cpFXn0
