PHILADELPHIA (KYW/CNN) - The pope arrives in Philadelphia in just over two days, but the city of brotherly love is already celebrating,
Thousands packed the Philadelphia Convention Center Tuesday for the opening of the World Meeting of Families.
One family in particular stood out - not because they’ve been following the pope’s work since he was a cardinal, and not because they are from his home city of Buenos Aires, Argentina - but because they drove from that city, nearly 14,000 miles, all the way to Philadelphia to see the pope.
“We are so grateful for being here and so happy for being able to make it so far,” said Noel Zemborian, a member of the family.
Family members say they will remain in Philadelphia until Pope Francis celebrates mass on Sunday.
