Get ready for the end of the January transfer window everybody. Because we are nearly 24 hours away from its conclusion.
And since we’re so close to February, it’s no shock that a fair amount of transfers occurred today.
Although many of these deals were not the product of the high-profile moves, some interesting player movement did unfold.
Real Madrid dishes out massive sums of money on well-known players, but today, Real decided to make some quiet noise, agreeing to the transfer of Argentina U-20 and River Plate goalkeeper Augusto Batalla. He’s one of the best young goalkeeping prospects in the world, and Los Blancos will certainly focus their attention on his development.
To the Premier League: Manchester United signed Salford City left-back Sadiq El Fitouri. The 20-year-old will have an 18-month contract with the Red Devils, and will join the club’s U-21 side. Louis van Gaal recently said he wasn’t targeting players in the rest of this window, and presumably, he was talking about impact footballers.

Juan Cuadrado joined Fiorentina from Udinese in 2012, and now, it looks like the Colombian forward will head off to Stamford Bridge. About a $35.15 million (£23.33 million) fee in addition to a hefty bonus for the player’s release release clause marks the Lillies compensation. Chelsea forward Mohamed Salah is also headed to Italy in an exchange. Cuadrado has netted four goals and added four assists in Serie A this season.

Jack Cork is staying within the PL, exiting Southampton for Swansea City, his fee somewhere around $4.52 million (£3 million). The former Chelsea man has performed in about 130 games for Southampton but has had slim playing time under current boss Ronald Koeman. His contract with the Swans runs for three-and-a-half years.
