Comunales Wins, Vasquez-Apolinario Draw, Cosio Upset

Club La Unión, Colon, Entre Rios, Argentina - Sampson Lewkowicz, of Sampson Boxing LLC, and world middleweight champion Sergio "Maravilla" Martínez, of Maravilla Box [making his promotional debut] staged a big card on Saturday night. WBA #2 contender Roberto "La Araña" Vasquez (32-5-1, 22 KOs) and WBA #3 contender John Mark "Iceman" Apolinario (17-2-1 4 KOs) fought to a twelve round majority draw in a clash for the interim WBA World bantamweight championship. The scores were 115-113 for Vasquez and 114-114 twice.
 
Cecilia "La Reina" Comunales (10-1, 6 KOs) won a ten round unanimous decision over Simone Da Silva Duarte (11-4, 4 KOs) to retain the WBA female lightweight title.

In a 10-round welterweight bout for the vacant WBA Fedelatin Welterweight Title, Azael "Turbo" Cosio (15-2-2, 12 KOs) suffered a shocking upset at the hands of Cesar Vélez (12-3-1, 5 KOs). Cosio was dropped in the first round, cut over his eye and stopped in the third. Velez wins the Latino WBC super welterweight championship.

In a 10-round super featherweight bout, Israel "Cachito" Pérez (24-2-1, 14 KOs) stopped Orlen Padilla (19-4-1, 17 KOs) in the third round of a bout for the the Latino WBC super featherweight championship. Padilla was down twice in the first and once in the second.
 
In another 10-round super featherweight bout, Fernando David "El Vasco" Saucedo (46-5-3, 4 KOs), from Buenos Aires, Argentina takes on Cristian "El Tigre" Palma (18-6-1, 5 KOs), from Lautaro, Chile, for the Latino IBF super featherweight championship.
 
Jonathan "Salomon King" Guzmán (9-0, 9 KOs), stopped Emerson "The Winner" Santos Carvalho (10-4-1, 8 KOs) in the seventh round of a Latino WBC super bantamweight bout.
