Argentina's tax revenue in June hit ARS74.7bn (USD14bn), a surge of 27.3 percent year-on-year, Ricardo Echegaray, head of the national tax agency Afip, said on July 01.

The increase was driven by economic growth, inflation, higher salaries and increased consumer spending.

In the same month personal income tax revenue amounted to ARS21.9bn, up 36.7 percent, and export tax revenue climbed 33.3 percent to ARS1.7bn.

The country's tax revenue reached a record high of ARS77.75bn in May, representing a 27.4 percent jump from the same month last year.
