The government of the Santa Fe province has launched a tendering process to carry out a 38mn-peso (US$7.66mn) upgrade of a major potable water plant in Rosario, Argentina''s third largest city.
The project entails renewing the facility's pumping system through the installation of two new pumps with a capacity of 3,000m3/h and 5,000m3/h. The new equipment will make up 25% of the total pumping capacity.
In addition, two new water filters with a 1,280m3/h capacity each will be added to the operating ones, in a push to improve the water purification process to the benefit of some 1.1mn inhabitants.
Bidders have until March 6 to present their offers to local water utility Aguas Santafesinas, which runs the plant.
