Manchester City are waiting to hear the full extent of the calf injury picked up by Sergio Aguero on Saturday afternoon.
City fired a huge statement of intent as they defeated Premier League leaders Arsenal 6-3 at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday afternoon but the injury to Aguero took the shine off the victory.
The Argentina ace grabbed the opening goal of the game, his 18th of the season, but had to leave the field on 50 minutes after picking up a calf problem.
City are sweating over his fitness ahead of a busy Christmas schedule and boss Manuel Pellegrini will be keeping his fingers crossed that everything is okay.
"Sergio Aguero, we will see him with the doctor, maybe he has some problem with his calf but I don't know at the moment how many weeks [he will be out for]," Pellegrini said.
