After taking Serie A scoring lead, Tevez explains why he isn’t assured of a World …

MILAN — Carlos Tevez says it's up to Argentina coach Alejandro Sabella to decide if he will play at the World Cup.

Since Sabella's appointment as national team coach in 2011, Tevez has not been called up.

Speaking to Italy's Sky TV late Sunday after scoring his league-leading 15th goal in Juventus' 2-0 win at AC Milan, Tevez said "it's only Sabella's choice. I don't know if it's a political choice. I think it all depends on Sabella."

Tevez has often come into conflict with coaches, memorably refusing Roberto Mancini's order to enter as a substitute in a Champions League match while with Manchester City in September 2011.

Tevez, who led his country to gold at the 2004 Olympics, has scored 13 goals in 62 appearances for Argentina.
